Olive Snook and Alfredo Aldarisio would make sweet, sweet music together if only given the chance. How do I know? Because both performed together earlier this month at Broadway’s Greatest Showstoppers and they were amazing. Ok maybe it wasn’t Olive and Alfredo as much as their real life counterparts Kristin Chenoweth and Raul Esparza. If you’d like to listen to audio from the event and hear Kristin and Raul sing, head over to the Kristin Chenoweth Fan Site and download the clips.
Their version of ‘Tonight’ from West Side Story is stunning. Let’s Hope Fuller & Co. have found a way to write in a sweet Olive/Raul duet this season.
Thanks to Kerry for the tip

Well, you Brits won’t have the pleasure of watching “Dummy” on your flat screens in HD but you will finally be able to see what a dandelion fueled car can do… online.
ITV will finally air the second episode of Pushing Daisies on their website. If you recall, back when the show premiered, ITV chose not to air “Dummy” due to time constraints but after the finale airs on May 31st (10pm), ITV.com will air what they’re calling the “magical episode.”

It’s Pie Time! We are beyond thrilled to report that Season One of PUSHING DAISIES will be released on September 16th. The first season may have been shortened by the writers strike but that doesn’t mean we are getting short changed on the DVDs. Here’s some details on the DVDs:
- 3-disc set will be available starting September 16th for $29.98 (or pre-order it now for $18.99)
- The Blue-Ray version of Season One will also be available on September 16th for $39.98
- All nine episodes from Season One
- Bonus Featurette: Pie Time: Time for Pie - A Delicious, Interactive Featurette with Flavorful, Fresh-Baked Pie Slices as your Entree and Cast/Creative Team Members Dishing Forkfuls of Series Secrets [Update] An interactive featurette with creators of the show, the set designer and special effects team who all come together to make this show so unique. Special interviews from creator Bryan Fuller and Lee Pace as they discuss their favorite first season scenes.

The back cover shares a bit of the PUSHING DAISIES story:
Every not-so-often, along comes a show that’s different. Wonderfully different. Pushing Daisies, TV Guide’s Matt Roush writes, “restores my faith in TV’s ability to amuse, enchant and entertain.” It’s the story of Ned, a lonely pie maker whose touch can reanimate the dead. Cool, but there’s a hitch. If Ned touches the person again, the miracle is reversed. If he doesn’t, a bystander goes toes up. What to do? Easy: Team with a private eye, bring murder victims back just long enough to discover whodunit, and collect the rewards. Things go well until Ned’s boyhood sweetie is the next dear departed, and he can’t resist bringing her back for keeps! Dig the wit, style and quirky romance: If you’re not laughing, you may need a visit from Ned.
I’m going to pre-order my copy today. This is really exciting. I refuse to delete any of the first nine episodes from my DVR until the DVDs are in my hands. Drop us a line in the comments once you re-order.

Pushing Daisies should be floating on cloud Emmy right now because TV Guide has anointed some of the Daisies cast as Class Clowns of the 2007-2008 season.
Michael Ausiello (along with Matt Roush and Bruce Fretts) have announced their Dream Emmy Ballot for Comedy and kudos to Kristin Chenoweth, Chi McBride and Swoozie Kurtz for being at the top of their list. Now if only those Emmy voters would take note…
*Updated: They’ve also added the show itself to their newest list, Best In Show!

Pushing Daisies just got a little sexier! Star Anna Friel and her Daisies character Charlotte “Chuck” Charles have been named the sexiest female on television. According to the Hallmark Channel (UK), 1,600 people were polled and 20% were in favor of our girl!
According to the Hallmark Channel (who also announced that Doctor Who’s David Tennant is the sexiest male):
“Our ongoing research into what makes great gripping drama has revealed that a sexy male or female lead can make a real difference to the success of a new series.
“If you were creating the ideal on-screen TV couple it would arguably be David and Anna, but you wouldn’t want to see them doing anything that distracts from the plot!”
Congratulations Anna from all of us here at ThePieMaker.com
