A lot of you emailed us asking for hi-res Pushing Daisies cast photos and here they are. We apologize for giving these out in various posts but we wanted to make sure you got what you wanted!
Here are our individual hi-res cast photos for you to drool over, download and play with.
PUSHING DAISIES Season 2 kicks off October 1st but we’re going to jump to October 8th because we’ve got your first look at episode 2.02 entitled “Circus Circus” featuring stars Lee Pace, Anna Friel and Chi McBride. Squee…
Pushing Daisies Season 2 is just around the corner and finally some promo pics are starting to be released. Here are our favorite photos of stars Lee Pace and Anna Friel.
I hope you’re not Comic Con’d out because there is still a LOT more to share from our trip to San Diego to see Team Daisies. ThePieMaker.com has got an exclusive interview with creator Bryan Fuller as well as highlights from our interviews with Lee Pace & Anna Friel, Kristin Chenoweth and Chi McBride still coming your way.
But for now, check out these vides from TV Guide as they caught up with the cast in the press room at Comic Con (It amazes me how they capture any sound…it was so loud in there). As with most of the news from Comic Con, these videos contain spoilers for S2 so please be aware.
Kristin Dos Santos got a chance to talk to Lee Pace, Dan Jinks and Barry Sonnenfeld just minutes after they and the rest of Team Daisies finished signing a ton of autographs for fans at Comic Con. She gets them to talk a little bit about Season 2 so if you aren’t into spoilers of any kind then you might not want to hit play.
So you’ve seen the pictures and hopefully you’ve had the chance to listen to the full audio of the PUSHING DAISIES panel at Comic Con. But we understand that some of you have to be a little covert and maybe can’t be listening while at work or school, so we wanted to post a mini-recap of the panel itself for your reading pleasure.
We’ve broken in out into two sections, the first being general highlights from the panel and the second section being spoilerish information. If you want to avoid spoilers just stop reading when we tell you to.
Bryan Fuller and the cast are excited about the Comic Con Panel…
As happy as the audience would have been to watch the “Pie-lette” once again, it wasn’t in the original plans for Team Daisies. The panel’s opening video was supposed to be some footage from the PUSHING DAISIES Paley Fest panel, but as the now familiar scenes of the first episode aired Bryan Fuller and Barry Sonnenfeld rushed to the stage to stop the presses (or at least the video). Instead they showed the fantastic Season 2 teaser trailer which threw the already amped-up crowd into a tizzy. But not before Fuller was able to pimp the much anticipated launch date for Season 1 of PUSHING DAISIES on DVD (September 16th on DVD and Blu-Ray. Pre-order your copy here today.)
As the cast was introduced by moderator Barry Sonnenfeld’s acerbic comments, many of them took the stage by running past the front row and slapping hands with the audience. I almost lost an eye due to the Cheno fans behind me but it would have been well worth it. (I could always ask Aunt Viv for a fancy new eye-patch).
Anna Friel tried out her American accent on the crowd for a bit but we all quickly cheered her back into her British speak. (On a side note, Anna looked stunning in with her black dress and bright red lips)
Chi McBride, who was decked out in a colorful tee and jeans quipped that he was dressed for Comic Con while some of his co-stars were red carpet ready. Kristin and Anna both sported fantastic little black dresses for the event all looked all kinds of glam.
Barry Sonnenfeld read aloud a message that Team Daisies sexy mama bear, Ellen Greene, sent to the cast before their bus travels from L.A. to San Diego. She reminded them that the bus can get chilly so bring a sweater, and offered up some fun travel options including games and movies. She’s adorable!
For those of you who couldn’t be there, ThePieMaker.com wanted to let you experience yesterday’s PUSHING DAISIES Comic-Con panel through the images we captured during the panel and then at the autograph signing session that Team Daisies took part in down on the Comic-Con floor. After the signing the cast went up to the WB tower room above the Comic-Con floor to do some interviews - Dan and I were up there too so we snagged a few pics.
If you missed out on the incredible panel, don’t worry your pretty little heads. Here is the entire PUSHING DAISIES Comic-Con 2008 Panel audio for your enjoyment. Listen as Barry Sonnenfeld guides Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Bryan Fuller, Dan Jinks, Kristin Chenoweth, Ellen Greene and Swoosie Kurtz through fan questions and the glorious and imaginative world of Pushing Daisies.
If you’re already a loyal TV Talk Podcast subscriber, this panel will automatically download to your iTunes (or may be sitting there waiting for you now)!
Kath and I wish we could have had more information posted earlier but we had a bunch of other panels and press rooms today that inhibited us from running to our laptops and posting about Pushing Daisies, but damnit here goes nothing…
