Many of you have been asking whether or not a PUSHING DAISIES soundtrack will be released. And now we can tell you YES! The soundtrack is being released by Varese Sarabande on October2 1st and will feature Jim Dooley’s charming and whimsical score that ‘captures all the quirkiness of the delightful show.’
No word on what else will be on the soundtrack. (If you are reading that and have any more info, feel free to share it with us).
*Update: The official soundtrack listing on the label’s website has been published, check it out.
And don’t forget that PUSHING DAISIES Season 1 on DVD will be available on September 16th (that’s just 5 days from now…yipee!)
One of the best moments of the PUSHING DAISIES Comic Con panel was when Kristin Chenoweth graced us with an impromptu version of”Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. The room was in awe and I certainly had the chills. That voice from such an itty bitty little thing.
If you missed out on the incredible panel, don’t worry your pretty little heads. Here is the entire PUSHING DAISIES Comic-Con 2008 Panel audio for your enjoyment. Listen as Barry Sonnenfeld guides Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Bryan Fuller, Dan Jinks, Kristin Chenoweth, Ellen Greene and Swoosie Kurtz through fan questions and the glorious and imaginative world of Pushing Daisies.
If you’re already a loyal TV Talk Podcast subscriber, this panel will automatically download to your iTunes (or may be sitting there waiting for you now)!
Kath and I wish we could have had more information posted earlier but we had a bunch of other panels and press rooms today that inhibited us from running to our laptops and posting about Pushing Daisies, but damnit here goes nothing…
I hope you didn’t think our coverage of the PUSHING DAISIES panel at this year’s Paley Festival was over! It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to really celebrate the show, so we wanted to make sure we shared as much as we could for those of you who weren’t able to attend.
To that end, we decided to do our second Pushing Daisies Piecast Podcast - this one devoted to our Paley experience. Among other things we discuss some of what we learned during the panel, some thoughts on Season 2, and our experience with the cast on that great night.

As always, we would love to hear your feedback on not only what we discussed but the podcast in general. Would you like to hear more Piecast Podcasts in the future? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
PUSHING DAISIES creator Bryan Fuller recently spoke with the guys behind the Comics Podcast Network, for a fantastic two part interview. The first part can be heard (around the midway mark), and the conclusion will be posted as part of next week’s podcast. Bryan talks about everything from the strike and how it’s impacted the show, to the closeness of the cast, to costumes, and some thoughts on season 2. It’s a must listen for any Daisies fan.
(Warning! There are nods to future storylines, so spoilerphobes beware)

Here are a few tidbits, but please listen to the podcast for much more…
…the last episode had to be finished in 12 hours to make the deadline for the WGA strike
…production could be started in mid-June and Fuller hopes to have an episode to show at Comic Con (YES!!)
…the cast has grown closer as a result of the strike
…Ned’s costumes are always black and grey to keep him the calm center of the show
…more of the Darling Mermaid Darlings in the 2nd season - more of their rivals back in the day
…Lily and Vivian will open up more in the 2nd season and love interests may be introduced
Thanks to all of you who took the time to listen to our first ever PUSHING DAISIES Piecast Podcast. We were thrilled that so many of you took the time not only to listen but leave us all the great feedback.
Sadly the WGA strike is still happening and we aren’t any closer to a new episode of PUSHING DAISIES, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to talk about it, right? So if you have a question that you’d like us to answer during the Piecast or a topic you think other PUSHING DAISIES fans would like to hear us discuss, just leave a comment below and we might just answer YOUR question during the next Piecast.
