I hope you didn’t think our coverage of the PUSHING DAISIES panel at this year’s Paley Festival was over! It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to really celebrate the show, so we wanted to make sure we shared as much as we could for those of you who weren’t able to attend.
To that end, we decided to do our second Pushing Daisies Piecast Podcast - this one devoted to our Paley experience. Among other things we discuss some of what we learned during the panel, some thoughts on Season 2, and our experience with the cast on that great night.

PUSHING DAISIES creator Bryan Fuller recently spoke with the guys behind the Comics Podcast Network, for a fantastic two part interview. The first part can be heard (around the midway mark), and the conclusion will be posted as part of next week’s podcast. Bryan talks about everything from the strike and how it’s impacted the show, to the closeness of the cast, to costumes, and some thoughts on season 2. It’s a must listen for any Daisies fan.
(Warning! There are nods to future storylines, so spoilerphobes beware)

Here are a few tidbits, but please listen to the podcast for much more…
- …the last episode had to be finished in 12 hours to make the deadline for the WGA strike
- …production could be started in mid-June and Fuller hopes to have an episode to show at Comic Con (YES!!)
- …the cast has grown closer as a result of the strike
- …Ned’s costumes are always black and grey to keep him the calm center of the show
- …more of the Darling Mermaid Darlings in the 2nd season - more of their rivals back in the day
- …Lily and Vivian will open up more in the 2nd season and love interests may be introduced
- …more of Emerson’s pop-up book fascination (ha)
(Stay tuned for P2 of the interview next week)

Thanks to all of you who took the time to listen to our first ever PUSHING DAISIES Piecast Podcast. We were thrilled that so many of you took the time not only to listen but leave us all the great feedback.
Sadly the WGA strike is still happening and we aren’t any closer to a new episode of PUSHING DAISIES, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to talk about it, right? We’re going to be doing our next PUSHING DAISIES Piecast Podcast very soon, and we want to know what YOU want us to talk about. So if you have a question that you’d like us to answer during the Piecast or a topic you think other PUSHING DAISIES fans would like to hear us discuss, just leave a comment below and we might just answer YOUR question during the next Piecast.
