Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello just let the cat out of the bag as to who will be playing the bizarro Ned, Chuck and Emerson in an upcoming sweeps episode of PUSHING DAISIES.
Pushing Daisies is about to get seriously bizarro. Orlando Jones (Drumline), Michael Weaver (Notes From the Underbelly), and Ivana Milicevic (Casino Royale) have been cast as a band of Norwegian detectives who bear striking similarities to Emerson, Ned and Chuck, sources confirm to me exclusively.
The trio flee their home country looking for bigger, better crimes to solve, which makes things mighty difficult for Emerson and his untouchy-feely sidekicks.
Rumor has it the script for the episode, titled “The Norwegians” and slated to air in November, is nothing short of Snapplarious (i.e., so laugh-out-loud hysterical Snapple will likely shoot out your nose). If it’s half as funny as this Wednesday’s second season premiere — particularly a certain subplot involving reluctant nun Kristin Chenoweth and Mother Superior Diana Scarwid — then we are in for a treat.
If you are a staunch anti-spoiler advocate, then you’ll want to stay away from this video which features one of my favorite scenes from the upcoming season premiere of PUSHING DAISIES.
This scene is a personal favorite because of Ned & Chuck’s interaction. It has absolutely nothing to do with Lee Pace standing around shirtless, only in his boxer shorts. Nope that has nothing to do with it at all. I hardly noticed that he was half naked.
In this past issue of USA Weekend magazine, E!’s Kristin Dos Santos reached out to a few TV bloggers to get their take on the most anticipated shows returning to TV this Fall. And guess which returning show was the most buzzworthy? Yup, PUSHING DAISIES. Seems these awesome, brilliant, fantastic bloggers* know what they’re talking about.
So clearly PUSHING DAISIES has the bzzzzzzzzz, but it also needs the viewers. Remind friends and families to watch the S2 premiere of PUSHING DAISIES on Wednesday, October 1st at 8pm on ABC. Watch your S1 DVDs and then lend them out to others whom haven’t yet watched the show. I did just that recently and as a result we have a new Pushing Daisies fan who will be tuning in on the 1st. We’re getting closer and closer to the premiere of PUSHING DAISIES Season 2 and now that Kath and I have seen the first two episodes, we’re dying for the rest of the world to see them as well.
We were going to keep quiet until we ready to post our full recap, but we can’t wait. ThePieMaker.com just finished watching the first 2 episodes of the new season of PUSHING DAISIES and we must say they are truly supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!
