It was bittersweet to be on the Warner Bros lot last Thursday and Friday knowing that PUSHING DAISIES was wrapping its 13th episode. I met up with a few of the PUSHING DAISIES writers briefly last Tuesday night in L.A. and they talked of the current state of uncertainty surrounding the show, but being on the lot knowing they were filming the last ordered episode was just too much. I was seriously bummed.
As much as I wanted to stop by the set and send my best wishes to Bryan Fuller, I also didn’t want to be there on what I can only imagine was an emotional day for the cast and crew. Here’s to hoping we all have a reason to smile soon!!
What I can tell you is that I snagged a few pics of some of the behind-the-scenes stuff I encountered while I was roaming around the back lot of Warner Bros. I spent Friday afternoon on the set of CHUCK which films directly next door to DAISIES, and don’t think for one second I didn’t think of sneaking on to the set.
As random as they are, here are a few Daisies candids.

One of the sweetest moments of last week’s Emmy awards came when the camera found PUSHING DAISIES stars Kristin Chenoweth & Lee Pace sharing in a moment of complete joy and pride as Barry Sonnenfeld accepted his Emmy for directing the “Pie-lette”. It was a such a pure moment, and one that I’ve watched over and over again.
I’ve been looking all over for a screen cap to share with Pie Maker readers, and finally just came across one today.

Naughtyeskimo over at the LJ Pie Hole capped the moment and has more caps of Kristin & Lee’s reaction. Check them out there.
