    Oh, hell no!

As much as I loved last week’s episode, I already like this episode more. I feel like this is going to be more of the feel that Pushing Daisies will have moving forward. This is an amazing episode. And Emerson running from the building was simply fantastic!!

  3. Raeon 17 Oct 2007 at 8:44 pm

This show makes me so happy. I don’t want it to be over again in 15 minutes! A week is too long to wait for another new episode.

  4. Raeon 17 Oct 2007 at 8:47 pm

OMG. Cutest thing ever, “Give me your paws, Pooh!”

  5. Chuckon 17 Oct 2007 at 9:04 pm

So many amazing moments tonight. I am watching it again right now. The Jedi comment was so beyond amazing!!

  6. bubblewrapon 17 Oct 2007 at 9:06 pm

This is my favorite episode so far! It was just perfect. I can’t wait to watch it again!! :D

  7. Nedon 17 Oct 2007 at 9:10 pm

    KICK POOH, KICK

  8. Seat42fon 17 Oct 2007 at 9:21 pm

Loved the Seuss shout out with the way the morgue exterior was painted.

Jedi, Pooh, Seuss and and that Kiss a Beaver T all in one episode…easily my fav episode so far. .

  9. Psappyon 17 Oct 2007 at 9:27 pm

Kissing with saran wrap = priceless

  10. Chuckon 17 Oct 2007 at 9:30 pm

Did anyone else find it odd that the Woodruff guy sounded exactly like T-Bag from Prison Break?

Watching the ep the 2nd time and it’s only getting better. You miss so much the first time around. So much dialogue and so many little acting nuances that are just priceless.

I could watch Emerson’s “Oh Hell No” about 50 more times…easily.

  11. Kaiton 17 Oct 2007 at 9:42 pm

He wanted to be a Jedi. I love it. There was so much in this ep, I’m going to be watching it over and over as well, to catch all those nuances.

It’s so hard to list my favourite moments because I have so many! but really, the entire sequence with Emerson stuck in the window and the sword fight takes the cake. :D

Might be my favourite ep yet, but that’s hard to tell because they’ve all been wonderful, I think my favourite is whatever one I’m watching at the moment. :D

  12. Gretchenon 17 Oct 2007 at 10:19 pm

Gosh, I love this show. That was an excellent episode. Loved how they got the “close proximity” thing out of the way. Olive and the aunts should interact more often. Best line: “I wanted to be a jedi!”
PS: I need Chuck’s wardrode. Seriously.

  13. The Beckerton 17 Oct 2007 at 10:38 pm

I loved tonight’s episode! I was a little disappointed last week because I went expecting perfection, but it was just great (not perfection). This week was back to perfection.

There were too many great lines. I’m pretty sure I broke something laughing so much. I’d have to watch it two, three, ten more times to get all the lines I loved.

  14. Lisaon 17 Oct 2007 at 10:38 pm

Oooh, I loved the the Jedi moment and where Chuck was busy getting Emerson unstuck. “Kick Pooh, kick!!!!”

Although I have to watch this episode again. Not sure if I saw how Ned touched the dead people moments before he came across Woodruff, because if I remember, he can only bring the dead people back to life with skin-to-skin contact, and all I kept seeing was Ned touching the sheets…which is weird when Chuck and Ned kissed (that was so sweeeet!). Saran wrap FTW?

  15. Kaiton 17 Oct 2007 at 10:44 pm

Lisa: I think he touched their feet sticking out from under the sheets- gotta re-watch just to be sure though.

  16. Quashon 17 Oct 2007 at 10:51 pm

Where can yo watch the ep online? I missed it tonight!!

  17. Chuckon 17 Oct 2007 at 10:58 pm

It will be online tomorrow on ABC.com

  18. Kimberon 17 Oct 2007 at 11:02 pm

Oh, Saran Wrap FTW, indeed, Lisa! I loved that moment, and it was rewound about 10 times during my viewing tonight :) (And just may be rewound again the next time I rewatch it, which will be soon…).

As for the two dead people Ned touched (Kristin from E! and the Do Not Resuscitate Guy) - it did look like he touched them through the sheets, didn’t it? Hmm. I should go rewatch that to make sure. I’m thinking maybe their arms were sticking out, though, as he did kind of bump into both of them at once - and then was worried. So I’m not sure he could have bumped them both without touching a part of them that was hanging out. Hmm, though.

So many great quotes from this episode … I need a new quotes list! LOVED Chuck and all her Pooh references to Emerson! (”Kick Pooh, kick!” has to be the best … along with “Mind over matter makes Pooh less fatter!”). I’m not a Pooh fan, for no apparent reason, except for when it’s used by an awesome show/celeb. Then I pull out the “yeah, well Winnie the Pooh was named for MY hometown!” card ;)

Also - Emerson’s “helllllll no” was amazing! And Ned’s calling the Woodrow guy an ass? FTW! That was amazing too. And I’ll admit, being the spaz I am, I probably laughed the hardest when Olive hand-delivered the pie to the aunts, then ran away, holding her bosom as she ran down the stairs. That cracked me up something fierce!

Saran Wrap is my new favourite thing, and the fact that Ned alluded to using it again at the end when they were wrapping stolen heirlooms made me deliriously happy.

Oh, Pushing Daisies. You continue to be my favourite new show EVER. Though, if I had one complaint it would be that the show’s not long enough! I just get into the world of Ned The Pie Maker and A Girl Named Chuck, and then the hour is up. Although, this show could easily be 5 hours and I’d still be asking for more!

  19. Kimberon 17 Oct 2007 at 11:09 pm

Lisa - Just re-watched the episode the bit at the funeral home when Ned brings back Kristin From E! and the Do Not Resuscitate Guy, and he does indeed bump into a foot sticking out from under the sheets, and then a hand from the other body. So the whole “touching through a barrier of clothes, plastic, etc” still stands!

Also, upon the re-watch I realized the crazy sword brandishing guy’s name is Woodruff, and not Woodrow, as I referred to him in my above comment!

  20. Kellyon 17 Oct 2007 at 11:18 pm

I think this might be my favorite episode so far too! I loved so many of the things you all already mentioned. Emerson was fantastic tonight, and the sword fight, lol Olive running down the stairs! So many good quotes from tonight too. i can’t wait to watch online again tomorrow.

  21. bdon 17 Oct 2007 at 11:22 pm

my favorite line. only if you listen closely : “kiss her or keep her. we all make choices. it’s the best we can do.”

  22. Kimberon 17 Oct 2007 at 11:34 pm

bd, I caught that line too, and thought it was so heartfelt and amazing. Ned had tears in his eyes so many times during this episode, and I wanted to rush my television and give him a big goofy hug.

  23. Chuckon 17 Oct 2007 at 11:34 pm

  24. Kimberon 17 Oct 2007 at 11:49 pm

Chuck: Thanks!! I didn’t realize it had been updated past the Pie-lette, but now I’m furiously scribbling down my favourites. How could I have forgotten about this one: “Chuck: Be Kind to animals. Kiss a beaver.” That thrills me in so many ways… ;)

  25. Krison 18 Oct 2007 at 1:56 am

Kimber: the moments you mentioned in your comment were some of my favorites, too i.e. Olive holding her bosom as she ran down the steps and when Ned called Woodruff an ass. I also loved the Jedi comment and Ned standing w/ the curtain draped around him cracked me up. And usually any scene involving Emerson is hilarious =P

    Oh, and Gretchen, i totally agree about Chuck’s wardrobe. I absolutely love it! I also love Olive’s wardrobe, too. The dress she wore while delivering the pie was too cute. But i digress… ^^;;

Tonight’s episode was just so wonderful! I haven’t been disappointed yet! I can’t wait for next week!

  26. Christineon 18 Oct 2007 at 2:31 am

I totally thought that Woodruff sounded exactly like T-Bag from Prison Break. I kept inadvertently laughing because of this.

Lee Pace plays Ned with such a lovable sweetness that it’s difficult not to get attached. This show appeals to me in so many ways. Let’s keep those ratings up!

  27. CYNTHIA DRANon 18 Oct 2007 at 3:03 am

I really enjoy watching ‘Pushing Daisies’, especially ‘Fun At
The Funeral’ episode where Ned was sword fighting with
the oriental guy ( The one who killed the funeral director and
put him in the freezer), he was just like a prince saving
Chuck’s life, and Winnie The Pooh. Lee Pace is such a delightful,
handsome, fun and really cute guy!

  28. Amaryllison 18 Oct 2007 at 3:49 am

I love Pushing Daisies! The quotes slay me. I have to say my favorite characters have to be Emerson and the guy who works at the morgue! The saran wrap thing was HOT, in a dirty, raunchy, kind of way. :p I love how Raul Esparza is in P/D… The love shown to musicals is awesome. Was i the only one laughing at Raul’s vials and thinking of Wicked and the green elixir???

  29. Chemengrgalon 18 Oct 2007 at 10:22 am

This ep was fantastic!! Sooo many great lines… my favorites were: Olive to Emerson “That wasn’t the truth train, that was the bitchy cross-town express!” and “Kick, Pooh, Kick!” (totally reminded me of “Run, Forrest, Run!”) :) I absolutely LOVE this show!

  30. Kaiton 18 Oct 2007 at 2:10 pm

    Ratings are looking decent!

    http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Ratings-Bionic-Woman/800024988

    “8 pm/ET
While placing a distant second to Deal or No Deal in total viewers, Pushing Daisies (9.75 million, down 250,000) maintained its lead in key demos. Behind Kid Nation (7.9 mil, up 900K), Fox’s Back to You (6.9 mil, +350 thou) and ‘Til Death (6.98 mil, +500K) both saw gains. Top Model (4.97 mil) dismissed 300 thou.”

  31. Kismeton 18 Oct 2007 at 2:21 pm

Yet another wonderful episode. This show has yet to disappoint! Ned better watch out or he will become my new #1 TV fantasy man (currently held by Jim Halpert). I mean come on, he’s sweet, adorable, and he bakes for heaven’s sake!

  32. Digbyon 18 Oct 2007 at 2:29 pm

Loved the episode! I missed the first 10 minutes because my roommate was picking me up from school but the references to Pooh and then Woodruff’s Southern accent, ha. It was PRICELESS. Love the quotes and the dialogue is so great. Looking forward to next week’s!

    More plastic wrap kissing!

hello everybody! just like to say that i absolutely LOVEEE pushing daisies! i love the part in the end of “the fun in funeral” episode, where ned falls over the stairs and ends up with the red curtain over his sholder. the narrator(who reads the harry potter books, might i add! im a HUGE fan of harry potter, just thought i should mention that) says something like “and thats how chuck would always see him.” i think that is the most adorable scene EVER!!!! id really like to have a picture of him in that scene, but i dont know how to get it. could anyone get it to me, like posting it or a link or summin? that would be amazing
