Ah...

I've been in a love affair with this show since I saw the first episode a few months ago on abc.com (I know, it's a disgrace that I missed the first season last fall), and as such, I never ever ever thought the writers or producers could do any wrong...

that is, until I watched this episode.

I was very disappointed at the 'plot antagonist' (??) of this episode. Seriously, that a crop dusting airplane crashed into the side of a building under the control of a highjacker (or because of a bird, sorry, pigeon, as it turns out).

Seriously?

The only thing that I could think about during the rest of this episode was 9/11 (and the 9/11 highjackers training in crop dusting 'school'!) here in NYC. I wish the writers would have been more sensitive to understanding the connotations of these details as they wrote this episode. I'm still pretty shocked that out of everything they could have written, they chose these circumstances to surround the murder victim. I'm still stunned. Sorry if my reaction seems unwarranted, but 9/11 was a day like none other.

Ned sliding under the table while chasing after Lem was brilliant!
And I love that after each viewing I find something new I hadn't noticed before, like the address of the windmill and the 'big daddy needs some new yarn' line.
It's official. I'm in love with a television show.

Ditto to what lonely_tourist wrote -- so glad that Olive's character path turned away from the crazed jealousy. Apart from that, GREAT episode. I was bouncing with happiness at the Birdhouse in Your Soul reference (only slightly outdone by "Funeral's" Jedi ref) and that was BEFORE they started actually singing it. Thanks to the genius writers and the talented actors who pull it off.

Funny, I'm starting to get a pie craving more often these days... would the webmasters consider making a blog space for pie recipes? : )
