Please don’t let this episode be the series finale!!!
I was completely taken with season 1 of Pushing Daisies - ths scripting, the look, the narrator device, the actors - wow! Unfotunately, the writers’ strike caused an arrested development and the show didn’t really have enough time to build its audience. Everyone knows it is brilliant but…I was hoping that when they came back this season they would simply start over with re-runs to give loyal viewers the pleasure of seeing the first season again, and new viewers a chance to get in on the fun. But no.
The truth is that hbo or showtime should have gotten the show…Pushing Daisies is too good for those tired old networks.
lets hope that the 6.64 million that tuned in for episode 5 will turn into 8-10 million by the time this episode airs.

I thought the title of Kerplunk was a morbid foreshadowing for the show’s future. Oh well, i still have hope that it can be saved. It’s too good of a show to die this young
Seriously…like Marianne Marie said, “Oh look, it’s JUSTICE O’CLOCK!!” HBO or Showtime should TOTALLY pick up this series…it can go sooooooooo far!! And the actors do such wonderful work, too. Would be a shame to waste these characters. =(

I don’t want this to be the finale. I L-O-V-E PUSHING DAISIES! WHO WOULDN’T LIKE TO WATCH PUSHING DAISIES?!?!?!?
O-HO! Now Chuck can have one of her “Aunts” back! She won’t be so terribly sad and alone. Although, if I all I had was Ned and the apt, I’d never want to leave! *~_^* Forget my dead daddy, the loss of a lying mother and a socially awkward aunt! Gimme a guy like Ned over all of that family drama any old day.
I have never seen anything so amazing and original as Pushing Daisies. When I discovered the series (of course, because of Lee Pace *drools*) I was so amazed. And when I found out, that it was already cancelled, before I even got to watch it… I was furious.
Now I’m just plain disappointed. If only they would’ve given the series a chance! *sighs*
Grrrr, bitter, bitter, bitter….
Buuut oooooh my Good, I just love Ned the Piemaker *o* Lee Pace is sooooo amazing in the role, and everytime I see Ned and Chuck kiss through the plastic wrap… my heart jumps up and down in my body. It’s so sweeet!
I wish some other channel would pick it up… D:
Its really unfortunate that a show like this will fall by the wayside when absolute GARBAGE reality TV wins out every time. From reality TV’s cheap production costs, no writers/actors, and our chance to watch people at their very worst with a camera on them…its a winning combo!
The last is not a testament to us as viewers, or human beings…
Pushing Daisies is one of those TV shows that left you feeling good after watching it, you know?
I’ll be very sorry to see it go.

I agree.. Pushing Daisies pushed me right out of my moods when ever i had a crappy day… was colorful show, i love the characters….. their development as well as the dialogue.
Probably the most addictive show i have watched since forever lol! I will mourn the loss of this show.
What a tragedy. It’s a very, very sad thing to see this show go… it really did have a feel-good effect. I heard rumor somewhere that the last episodes will be aired online. I don’t know. It’s probable that they will be on the Season 2 DVD set, but that’s quite a wait. I also heard somewhere that the next episode would be aired on Jan. 10… but that apparently was false. I can’t stand this… I need more updates.
love pushing daisies! After the very first episode I was instantly hooked! I watch my season 1 DVD at least once a week!! I really do drive my friends crazy talking about it all the time! But when I heard that the show was being cancelled, my friends and I were devastated!! After hearing that season 2 was being aired on Itv 1 I was ecstatic but still felt sad knowing that this would be the last season….
I was wondering if this really was the last we would hear of the show, or if there is any way that it could be saved? I heard it was because of low ratings that the show was cancelled in America but I find that hard to believe what with all the complaints on the many fan-sites and even a ‘Save ABC’s Pushing Daisies’ Petition already with over 85650 signatures! Are there any networks who would take the show? I have heard of the network NBC in America but don’t know much about them. Would even a British network take the show on?
I get so bored with all the reality shows and soaps… that is why I love this show so much! It is completely different from anything on TV, very original! This ‘forensic fairytale’ has captured the hearts of many with its wonderful storyline, brilliant cast, imaginative mysteries and adorable characters! Please let all be done that can be done to save this fantastic show from being cancelled forever! I couldn’t bear to see my favourite TV show ‘kick the bucket’, with even a single touch of Ned’s magic finger unable to revive it!
Here’s hoping something can be done to save this one-of-a-kind show!
in germany we can see the last episodes! the series finale is on 11th March this year.but the viewer levels aren’t so good,too, so i hope the last episodes will be aired!!!

i say we make a petition online and then email it to the writers my sister has done this before and it can work , if we get enough people and show we support it and they r guarnteed this many viewers at least it can work and has saved shows b4 , the only thing we need to do is get enough people to sign

I, for one, would definitly sign that petition. I bet that if it went around we would get a hell of a lot of people signing it. Maybe then ABC will stop being such pigheaded asses and realize the show’s true potential. Or if that doesn’t work we could ask another group to air it. Keep the faith in the pie.
the finale episode just aired on German TV. Absolutely loved it.
Even though the last minute does present us a somewhat satisfactory ending, it’s really sad that there won’t be any more episodes.
Hopefully the DVDs will come out soon (with lots of extras).

I’m so sad :’-(. It was the last episode for ever. I’ll miss Ned,Chuck,Olive,Emmerson and all the other people. The end was incomplete. I can’t stop imagine what will happen now. i really,really,really hope ABC will change its decision.

This show was clearly one of the best currently running IMO. Instead of networks trying to come up with the next “reality” show that has nothing to do with reality, they should try to keep shows like PD alive. It was brilliantly written & cast perfectly. I am going to miss it. While I do not want to see its end, I hope there will be some way for the fans to at least see the remaining episodes via special DVD release or something. Here’s to keeping up hope!

i love this show and hope that the the whole show can be saved.. especially all the great characters and crew that shoot every scene perfectly.
or if that is not possible then there should AT LEAST be a special DVD of PD brought out just to tie up all the loose ends and give the show a real send-off

This was a wonderful show. Great cast of actors/actresses. This show was one of the best comedies of the last two years on either cable or network TV. I know the strike hurt a lot of shows but I really this they should have given this show at least a third season. What a shame!!!!:(

None of the videos on youtube for Kerplunk have an english translation… oh well… serves me right for not being patient… i’ll get to see it next Friday when it’s on TV but i just can’t wait any longer!

I heard that Bryan Fuller might go ahead and carry PD on as a comic, but Im sorry to say that I dont think it would be anything as good as the show. The cast are so amazing, and for one thing they talk so much that it wouldn’t even fit in a speech bubble in a cartoon strip XD
I bet if they could figure out a way of making the production of the show a bit less expensive, they could get someone to pick it up. Its so original and it has such a loyal fanbase that they could get some good ratings if they continued it I bet ….
SAVE PD!!
After seeing this episode, it really makes me want to see more PD and not let it end. Even though tthe producers did their best to wrap things up, it was still kind of a cliff hanger and sort of diaspointing! This episode was really good, but I think i like “WAter and Power`better, Emerson was just more intresting than the aunts.
I really wanted for NedéChuck fluff so i could get my fill, so that was bit disapionting. It makes sense tho, cause `Merle McQuoddy`and `Norweigans`were sort of their stories, and then Olive, Emerson and the Aunts needed theirs.
I`m really gonna miss PD, but there is alwasy hope for a movie!
Just watched the last ever episode (downloaded from itunes) not on normal TV channel here in UK till Friday this week.
It’s such a shame that a show that is so bright in colour and wit should come to an end so soon. it’s such a new refreshing idea of a show, so different from the norm that we usually get subjected to as TV viewers.
I wish we could of had a little longer to enjoy these great characters and see how the writers could of developed them more.
From a sad but glad fan to of enjoyed this show.

I couldn’t help but shed a tear (or two!) at the end sequence! those visual effects were stunning! Although the story was tied up well, it still leaves you with sooo many questions and wanting to see more!!
Will Chuck and Ned get married? Will they have any children? Will the Aunt’s continue swimming and on their tour too?
^Those are only a few of the questions i have spinning in my head!!!^

P.D seems to bee not only a grate show, but also a wonderfull, exiting and special in every way.

I love Pushing Daisies. I quit watching most of ABCs new shows because every time they get something good, then they cancel it and leave you hanging most of the time. Stick me with a fork….I’m done(after Daisies finale).

YAY! The aunts will be in this one!!!!!!!
This week it is Chuck’s half birthday and Lilly and Vivian have decided to celebrate it by going to what is essentially a water circus that Chuck loved as a kid. Ned believes that this would be the perfect gift for Chuch so he gets tickets for Chuck, Emerson, Olive and himself to go to the show as well. Things get uncomfortable for the aunts when they discover that their biggest rivals are the headline act for the show. Things take an even worse turn when the shows prized Great White Shark ate one of the rivals whole. This makes the owner of the show beg the Darling Mermaid Darlings to reform and be the highlight act of the show. This acts as a perfect cover for Ned and Emerson to investigate the circumstances of the death. Emerson has been hired by the sharks owner to discover who let it out of the pen. Meanwhile, Chuck is made aware by Ned that the show plans on going on a European tour and that the aunts have agreed to join the tour. Chuck is made angry by this now knowing that she won’t be able to keep an eye on them. This makes her question whether she should leave Ned to follow them to Europe. This leads Ned to consider doing something very risky…
how sad that the last few episodes weren’t even advertised.
there are so many questions left that need to be answered.
there should be a few more episodes to give it a proper finale.
this was such a great, unique, funny, intelligent show. sad that it was cancelled far too soon.
I did not expect to see Chuck reuniting with her aunts(mom). That was the most shocking thing to have happened to me in the entire series and I was left breathless. I couldn’t help but cry my eyes out, and I still am. The ending with the showing off of the windmills,lighthouse,and the rest was beautiful. Again this show was the best show ever and will always be the best show ever. There was so much good about it it was amazing. Now that it is done, I can go back to not watching TV again.
This show is definately the next Firefly,Futurama,etc. It will be remembered and who knows, Family Guy and Futurama came back, so could Pushing Daisies. It all depends on when Ned will touch it.
Thank you PD team for bringing this amazing and magical show to us, if only for a short time. These characters will live on in my heart and in my DVD collection. I hope a complete season special edition will be released someday with a bunch of cool extras. Different than the two separate seasons that will be available soon (1 already out and 2 out soon)

Seriously, where’s the petition, I’ll sign it!! Where’s the message board to ABC, why aren’t they listening? So many trash shows, and here’s a gem! 12 Emmys and they still cancel it???? Something is wrong! Isn’t there any way to let them know directly that we want it back!?!

OMG! this episode was GR8. I cannot believe it. if you listen to the last line of the show it says ‘every ending has a begining’ THAT MAY MEAN SOMETHING!!!!!!:):) sorry for making this annoying but… OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. THEY SHOULD ABSOLUTLY MAKE A SEASON 3. GO ONLINE TO SIGN THE PETITION. but as olive snook says “OMG, that’s GR8, TTFN no BRB” LOL hope they make a season three that would be gr8. PD ROX! NO JOKE!!!!!

What happened with Ned’s father? That’s what’s been killing me the most! The writers obviously had plans for an other season because they brought in all of these extraneous characters (Penny, Chuck’s dad, Ned’s dad). It’s so sad that all of these strings are left untied.
That being said, Pushing Daisies was still one of the best, most unique shows on television (like most of Fuller’s work is). I loved the little connections to his other shows! Like Ned saying he’s from Happy Time Temp Agency, and the mom from Wonderfalls playing Mother Superior.
I hope they can at least make a movie. The Dead Like Me movie definitely offered closure to the series, though it didn’t really compare. I think that’s how a Pushing Daisies movie would work too… tie up loose ends, and give fans one last hoorah.
Amazing episode, but I can’t believe it’s gone! I really really hope they come out with a movie or at least tie up the loose ends in the comic book. I’ll miss the Pie Hole so much :[

1)it is amazing and no progamme on telly even comes close to being as good
2) we still dont see emerson be reunited with penny
3) we dont know whats happened to chucks father
4)we need to see chucks arnts be soo soo happy that shes alive

6)neds dad needs to come back .
7) there is an online petition with 9 thosand people wanting pushing daisies back.
8)and at the end it says for all endings we know there are begginings
i rcon they are good reasons so why are they not making another series ,i will never know
I just now watched the final episode. Maybe I’m showing my ignorance, but what was the deal with the dog at the very end?
Because in the first episode digby and ned are running in a field of daisies as you can see near the end the camera is going back through the places where the piehole gang went to investigate so the deal with the dog is that ned and chuck are in the field of daisies with digby.
just wondering, but why hasnt this been posted in the main page?
and also…i know this might not matter much anymore but does anyone know the ratings for the last 3 episodes?
