What do you think would be the worst way to die?
I’d ask if Ned’s powers extend to microscopic organisms. Imagine what would be going on constantly with all the bacteria and other organisms living and dying on him.
Being a girlie girl, I would have to ask them if I could try on (and take) Chuck’s wardrobe!
Where do you get the ideas for Chuck’s wardrobe?
OMG, Dan, that picture of you just too much.
I would ask them if they consider Ned’s ability a gift or a curse?
Who would be your dream guest star to have on to be the victim of an episode?
What would Ned do if he ever ‘retired’ from piemaking and his P.I. work?
Really random question, I know, but how would Ned’s power work with getting or giving an organ transplant?
Do you think there might be anyway to cure or heal Ned’s ability?
Am I allowed to eat Lee Pace’s sweet and nibble-worthy body?
What would happen if Ned ever died?
I would ask if they already know how they’re going to end the series.
How exactly does Neds healing ability work?
Does it undo the damage (ex. make a heart that stopped beating work again)… or does it simply make the damaged part not essential for survival?
Will the series end with Ned accidentally running into Chuck and she dies? Morbid question for a morbid show!
If YOU were brought back to life by Ned and you only had 60 seconds, what would you want to say and who else would you want to be standing there?
Will Chuck (or Digby!) ever die a natural death now?
Will there be any more of those dream-sequence sex scenes?
What happens when Oscar figues out the truth?
Dang, Stephanie … that’s a good one! I, too, wish for more dream sequence sex scenes with Ned and Chuck (but a little less Chuck becoming Olive, please! LOL).
How about … if she’s not doing anything, could you possibly bring Ellen Muth on as a recurring character/special guest star? She could reprise her role as George, and somehow work with/against Ned and Co.
why can’t chuck & ned just wear gloves every day so they could always be holding hands? it would very fashionable for chuck to wear fancy lady gloves like diane keaton :o)
WOW! These are some really fantastic questions. Keep ‘em coming. Maybe Dan and I can work on trying to get some answers to some of these in the future.
If you invented a pie that was so good it could raise the dead, would you share the recipe with the rest of the world?
If I could ask them one question it would be how did Ned acquire his “touch”?
Is Ned a vegetarian? I feel it would make sense, given his power.
Why does Ned have that special power to give and take life?
How much planning does it take to design a new set? How much is the cinematographer, director, and others involved in the creative component of the sets?
Is there anyone else in this universe with the “opposite” power as Ned…killing them with a touch. And what would happen if they met? I guess that’s two questions…
Will we ever find out why Ned has this power and if/when he’ll be “cured” of it?
At any point in time, will Ned’s touch not kill Chuck? We know that if he touches someone again, it’s dead again forever, but after a certain amount of time, does the touch not impact the once dead person the way it would immediately after their death?
If you were given the oppurtunity, would you want to have Ned’s ability?
Can people who are alive again die a second time by natural means?
Is there a specific reasoning behind Ned’s power and how it works, explaining how he “got it” and whether Chuck is “alive” versus (perhaps) “living dead”?
Do you have the entire story arc of Ned and Chuck planned out all the way to the end, or are you making this all up as you go along?
Is there any chance or hope of seeing elements of Pushing Daisies developing into more of a franchise? (An actual or continuation of the comic book teaser, theme restaurant, film, novels, clothing line, line of frozen pies…)
Do the people Ned revives stay the same age forever?
Where they get the idea of the look of Pushing Daisies?
Is there any chance of seeing Lee Pace in a dress in the Daisyverse?
Will there be a musical episode?
Ahhh, I need this question answered! And a t-shirt would be nice too. :]
If Ned met another person who shared his gift for bringing back the dead - could he then touch Chuck, have the other person touch her back to life, and then he could continue touching her? Because then, Ned wouldn’t have been the last person to bring her back. Only the person who had touched her could, right? There has to be some way around this not-touching thing . . .
Watching the show makes me hungry. Is there any chance of a Pushing Daisies cookbook? I’d love to know how much Gruyere I’d need to bake into an apple pie crust.
Have you approached Keri Russell to guest star? The pies she made in Waitress looked wonderful and quirky (a good fit for The Pie Hole).
my question is: why cheese?
boxers or briefs?
Will the Mermaids ever swim again?
Will Olive ever find her true love?
Can they please have more Olive and Emerson scenes? And since I never get enough Olive, can we have more Olive back-story?
Would you want to be brought back to life permanently by Ned’s touch if you were aware of the someone else would die in your place, or would you rather just 1 minute/not being touched at all?
Why did Emmerson become a private investigator?
Has Ned always had his gift and Digby was the first dead “item” he had ever touched , or was it triggered by some specific event ?
and a sneaky 2nd question…
Does Ned keep a count of how many deadheads he brings back to life and does he consider his gift to have a limit so when he reaches a certain number it will expire ?
If Ned and Chuck were able to touch, do you think that they would be able to maintain a relationship without the physical barrier?
If you had the green light to do it, would you create a musical episode for Pushing Daisies?
What is the Darling Mermaid Darlings Theme song? Is it The Final Countdown? Is it?!
Can Ned eat meat or wear leather?
OK- two part question for Bryan: Why do so many of your female characters have men’s names (Chuck, Jaye & George)? AND who gave Chuck her nickname — Ned or her Dad? And why didn’t the aunts call her Chuck as well?
Umm, I guess that’s three questions. Bummer…
Karen B, we’ll reveal this in the Piecast Podcast later tonight but Bryan Fuller confirmed that Ned is a vegetarian because it wouldn’t be pretty if he ate an animal.
My question is!! Will Aunt Lily and Vivian ever find out that Chuck is still alive??!!!
How do you remain creative when most types of stories become routne?
Are you worried about losing momentum from the writer’s strike delaying the new episodes to the fall? Are there plans to rerun the season one episodes leading up to the fall premiere?
My question: Will there ever be any talk during the episodes to come about when Aunt Lily killed the shinny shoes killer, and will her killing him effect any other things that happen on the show??
Hi! My question is, what is that place that young chuck is at wearing the jews for cheeses t-shirt??
I love cheese!
cheeseboy
What is it like to be apart of the best show on television and what do you like about your show most???
Why is it that Ned can kiss Chuch through a sheet of plastic wrap, but he can’t touch a part of her body which is covered by her clothes?
If Ned were to be attacked and were laying dying, and Chuck ran up to him to give him love’s last kiss, would the “gift” pass through her back to him, thus healing him and allowing them both to live? Or am I just a dreamer?
How exactly are the Aunts related to Chuck, (and eachother) now that we know Chuck is Lily’s daughter- are they sisters, or sister-in-laws?
Where exactly did Ned’s dad’s jackassiness stem from? (Thankfully, it isn’t genetic).
I’m studying to be a microbiologist, so naturally I’d like to ask the writers if Ned ever gets sick. His body would just kill the bacteria causing the infection, then he’d bring it back to life, and kill it again… for good.
Is Chuck immortal now that Ned’s touched her? Can she age?
If Ned had never brought Chuck back to life, do you think a relationship between Olive and Ned would ever work out?
How has developing this show changed your outlook on life and/or the afterlife? I’d like to think it inspires me to see the more magical side in both.
Can Ned ever touch Chuck in the future - does it wear off after a while and all this time they could have touched but didn’t?
Is Chuck now ageless (like Digby) and going to remain 28-ish forever?
If Chuck were to die by some accident (car crash or some other outside force..ie. NOT ned) could he touch her again and bring her back? Could this happen over and over again each time she dies of something other than touching Ned?
If Ned and Chuck were to cry because they couldnt touch each other, and they were close enough where their tears touched each other; would Ned’s tears kill Chuck’s? Or would they just freeze?
If Chuck and Digby were left untouched by Ned, and Ned died (heaven forbid!) would they live forever?
Man Emily, nice question! I never even thought of that.
My question would be: Will we ever meet anyone else in the world of Pushing Daisies that is blessed/cursed with a power like Ned? (Not necessarily the same power, but a power nonetheless)
Where did Ned’s powers come from? Did he have them as a baby, or develop them later?
What are some more of the ideas for musical numbers in the show? (like bringing Raul Esperanza back… maybe for a duet with Kristin Chenowith)
Are there others like Ned out there?
Would Ned’s gift work if he died? Would the alive-again beings stay alive? Would his touch still work?
How big a part is Oscar going to have in second season?
Where does Emerson Cod get his clothes?!?
Why is Digby so smart? How does HE know not to touch Ned, even when they’re first reunited!
I was wondering if it was at all possible that there might be another person out there who has Ned’s ability? Perhaps his relatives (his father, mother or stepbrothers)? Is Ned’s “gift” hereditary? Also, I know that Ned and Chuck aren’t able to have a child together but couldn’t they get married in the - hopefully near - future?
I would ask them how they come up with these fresh new ideas for each show. It’s one of the quirkiest, most original shows on TV.
Here’s another: We already know that as a kid, Ned ran experiments to determine the extent of his powers. So why hasn’t he experimented to see if the “second touch” rule is forever? If I were him, I’d have some hamsters up on the roof that I killed and made alive again — and I’d touch one each month on the hope that there is a time limit. Seems to me he has some amazing motivation to do so. What if he could have been touching Digby all this time?? Not to mention Chuck…
And yet another: In Smell of Success, he tells Olive that he knows his and Chuck’s saliva is compatible or “at least I will know.” So Bryan — what did that mean????????
Where do you get Chuck’s outfits!? (is the biggest question xD)
And how do you come up with the brilliant scripts?
Where did Bryan Fuller get those ideas for all his shows!?
Will Ned ever lose his ability? Like if he’s electricuted or something, will it short out his finger?
Why does Ned have this power in the first place?
(Also, who was brilliant enough to conceive of this shirt in the first place?)
What would happen if Ned tried to make a chicken pot pie?
I love Pushing Daisies nearly as much as I love cheese!
If Ned died and his hand should fall on his face, would he die?
OR
Can Ned eat meat?
Did anyone ever win this???
Cb Honey, listen to our Piecast Podcast for your answer to the meat question.
Emily, as to your question… comments are still open and we will be letting the winner know soon enough!
Don’t worry though, we’ve got plenty of Jews for Cheeses shirts to give away in the upcoming months.
How did Chuck acquire her wardrobe? where did she get the money? or how did she get into her aunts house to get her clothes back without them noticing her or that all her clothes were gone?
This is kinda complex. What would happen if in the surrounding area there was no one. I mean there might be a few bugs, but nothing of the same “value” as a human or a dog or something. If ned kept it alive, would there be no consiquence, or would ned actually be in danger himself?
I mean it would be an intense series finale (which hopefully won’t happen for like 30 years) if Ned kept someone alive and his was the life that got taken.
Ps. to Patricia who asked about compatible saliva, i do know the answer to that. It’s a reference to another show Bryan created, wonderfalls. The show is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I highly recomend going out and renting, if not BUYING the dvd! Lee Pace is in it, if that sweetins the deal.
Anyway the answer is that these two main charactors are on their first date and are making out pretty much making out the entire time, and the guy tells the girl how he read about saliva being compatible. And it’s this really cute moment of them desciding that they have compatible saliva. Bryan Fuller seams to like to do mini references to his old shows now and then, and that was one of them.
