EXCLUSIVE - PUSHING DAISIES Series Finale Tease

Pushing Daisies Series Finale Tease: The Intrepid Cow (Header)

PUSHING DAISIES creator and all around swell guy Bryan Fuller was kind enough to share an exclusive snippet of the PUSHING DAISIES series finale (“Kerplunk”) with ThePieMaker.com!

Here is a beautiful and bizarre fx clip from the finale.  You can see the pic above in action. It’s a tiny little tease, but one that allows for a little speculation don’t you think?

What is The Intrepid Cow Macaroni and Cheese? How does it play into the final episode of Daisies? Are we looking at another Pie Hole rival or could one of our favorite characters be branching out on his/her own? The possibilities are endless.

Thanks Bryan!!

NOTE: Due to technical issues, the video was temporarily removed. It will be back up soon.

How about the elevator going up into the cows udders? Hilarious!

  2. Digbyon 12 Jan 2009 at 3:04 am

Thanks to Bryan and the piemakers for the clip!

There’s something about the windows across the cow, reminds me of Restaurant at the End of the Universe…

Is it just me, or is that cow’s udder “raining”? o.O

  4. Kimberon 12 Jan 2009 at 8:51 am

Wow. That’s just … very, very interesting. Thanks so much Bryan and The Pie Makers for bringing this to us! The fact that it’s a Mac and CHEESE place makes me think it’s either (a) The Aunts (or Aunt), or (b) Chuck branching out. Did Bryan give you any insight into when the episode will actually air (if at all) on ABC?? On one hand I can’t wait to see the rest of the episodes, but on the other hand I know once I do, Pushing Daisies will really, actually be over :(

Wow! Looks great. I have the same question as Kimber…any hints as to when this will air? What about the DVDs??? Any possibility those will be released with the last episodes?

Thanks Bryan and thepiemakers for posting this!

We’ve posed all those questions to Bryan already and if he has any insight we’ll let you know the minute he lets us know.

Ugh. My heart breaks at the words, “Series finale.”

  8. Franon 12 Jan 2009 at 4:50 pm

I like the idea of Kimber with the aunts or Chuck. I’m just so excited to see what will happen and at the same time I’m really sad that the show comes to an end *sob*

Thanks to Bryan and the Pie Maker from me too!!^^

Is anyone else able to see the video now? I can’t …it keeps saying, loading …loading…. Let me know. Thank you so much!

  11. Luisaon 12 Jan 2009 at 7:44 pm

Well, all it is basically is two seconds (literally, two seconds) of the cow having rain come out of its udders, or an elevator going up it, or something like that. Maybe both. Very puzzling, indeed. Though I momentarily FREAKED when I saw there was going to be a snippet of the *try not to start weeping* series finale, it’s more snipped than I would’ve hoped. Still, two moments of Pushing Daisies is better than no Pushing Daisies….WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO AIR THESE EPS PROPERLY, ABC??!! (%$*%($#**(#$*#…

Thanks TPTB, the giant cow made my day. *sniffle* I don’t want to think about the end of PD… *shuffles back into my corner of denial*

It’s nice to hear something from Bryan.

OMG “series finale” so sad! But you know what gives me hope…There was a show called Firefly on Fox back in like 2002, and it got canceled during the first season. But then, thanks to its dedicated fan base, a couple years later there was a full length movie that was in mainstream cinemas!! So we should not give up yet. Crazier things have happened.

ah! i can’t wait for this! this looks very… interesting haha

Im so sad its the series finales :-( but the cow is adorable and I’ll bet its chucks father!
He said something about Mac & chee when he ‘gave her a choice’ episode.

Im glad to hear about Bryan & swoozies [& kristin] new jobs abut what about Lee? Emerson?

  18. Jodieon 15 Jan 2009 at 11:30 pm

This is great, thanks to Bryan and the Piemakers. I’m still extremely sad about the show ending and p***ed that ABC are not airing the final episodes… Heres hoping for a movie.

    Thanks Bryan.

My heart breaks at the ending of this show. Thanks for making me smile. I got hooked on this wonderful piece of art while recuperating from major surgery. I was unable to work my evening shift and I adored this show. I only hope that it can be saved or a movie comes out of it. The characters are terrific and the writing amazing.

Thank you so much and many Blessings

Oh God! I can’t even talk about this without a tear coming to my eye. When it said series finale, I seriously felt like I was going to die…
It’s as if someone died for me!

  22. Digbyon 21 Jan 2009 at 1:54 pm

I’m still sad about the series ending, but I’m happy to at least have season 1 on DVD. If anyone hasn’t gone back to re-watch those episodes in a while, you might cheer yourself up AND find new stuff to laugh about.

I never noticed that Emerson hinted at his secret past in Dummy (while the trio are following Janine, before her car explodes). Kind of bridging the gap between S1 and S2, but I never caught the irony of Lily (who’s Jewish) hiding out in a nunnery (Catholic) while pregnant. There are so many classic exchanges between Ned and Emerson (thinking of the Pie-Lette in particular)… this show will never die as long as our DVD/blu-ray machines still operate and the fans still love it. Look at the old Battlestar Galactica, yo! STILL shown on TV, huge fan base and it prompted a new imagining. Pushing Daisies, you rock our world and will not just fade away.

i have been watching season 2 here in scotland and can’t wait for the next one “dim sum, lose some” ( for people living in the UK - channel 103 at 10pm ).
I LOVE pushing daisies! After the very first episode I was instantly hooked! I watch my season 1 DVD at LEAST once a week!! I really do drive my friends crazy talking about it all the time! But when I heard that the show was being cancelled, my friends and I were devastated!! After hearing that season 2 was being aired on Itv 1 I was ecstatic but still felt sad knowing that this would be the last season….

I was wondering if this really was the last we would hear of the show, or if there is any way that it could be saved? I heard it was because of low ratings that the show was cancelled in America but I find that hard to believe what with all the complaints on the many fan-sites and even a ‘Save ABC’s Pushing Daisies’ Petition already with over 85650 signatures! Are there any networks who would take the show? I have heard of the network NBC in America but don’t know much about them. Would even a British network take the show on?

I get so bored with all the reality shows and soaps… that is why I love this show so much! It is completely different from anything on TV, very original! This ‘forensic fairytale’ has captured the hearts of many with its wonderful storyline, brilliant cast, imaginative mysteries and adorable characters! Please let all be done that can be done to save this fantastic show from being cancelled forever! I couldn’t bear to see my favourite TV show ‘kick the bucket’, with even a single touch of Ned’s magic finger unable to revive it!

Here’s hoping something can be done to save this one-of-a-kind show!

  24. Carlyon 27 Apr 2009 at 11:23 pm

So, is the video ever going to be posted again? It’s been almost four months since the original post…

  25. *Daisypusher*o9on 02 May 2009 at 9:20 am

    @ Carly

It can be seen on youtube on “Kerplunk”.

  26. Timothyon 26 Jun 2009 at 2:19 am

Awe, just discovered the series and love it, then sadly discovered it was cancelled. If ABC is unwilling to continue to produce it HBO or Showtime should definitely pick it up.
