Lee Pace’s Past Finds Love ‘Transamerican’ Style
CALPERNIA ADDAMS, the transsexual woman Pushing Daisies star Lee Pace portrayed in the amazing film Soldier’s Girl, gets her own reality show on Logo.
Calpernia will be playing Bachelorette on Transamerican Love Story — where a bunch of men will be competing for Calpernia’s heart. Unlike most reality shows, these guys actually know what they’re stepping into. No big shocking twist where they learn Calpernia’s true identity. Finally, some honesty in reality tv! Transamerican Love Story will premiere in February 2008.
If you’ve not seen Lee Pace’s portrayal of Calpernia Addams and the love story between her and Barry Winchell, I beg of you to go out and rent Soldier’s Girl tonight. It’s an incredibly moving and emotional film that can only make you a better person for having watched it.
Hell yeah to renting Soldier’s Girl! Lee did a great job, and listen to the commentary — I’m simply amazed how strong yet graceful in every way Calpernia is. This photo doesn’t do her justice, either. She’s even more gorgeous in the film’s extra features/interviews.
I just saw A Soldier’s Girl recently, and was blown away. Lee’s performance is … amazing. He transforms into a very, very attractive woman indeed. It’s also nice to see that a reality show is being created that actually *sounds* good. Unlike the rest of the garbage out there, and trash being created *cough*TheMomentOfTruth*cough*.
