PUSHING DAISIES Final Episodes: Be Excited…Be Very Excited
Hey all…Kath here. In just a few minutes I’m going to be boarding a plane headed back home to Boston after an amazing weekend in Los Angeles. PUSHING DAISIES creator Bryan Fuller was kind enough to invite ThePieMaker.com to L.A. for the exclusive cast and crew screening of the final three episodes of PUSHING DAISIES. I was honored to be in the room representing ThePieMaker.com and all of YOU - the Pushing Daisies fans!!
Simply put, the episodes were fantastic!!! I was thrilled to have had the opportunity to see them in their entirety sitting among the very people that have brought us this wonderful show from day one.
There’s lots and lots to share. I promise that I won’t be spoiling the final episodes for you, but there is certainly a little teasing coming your way.

I hope they will release a DVD for 2nd season. The only series DVD I own is PD!

Sorry for the lack of updates but things have been nuts since I got back from Cali yesterday morning. No promises, but hopefully I’ll have a chance to edit some of the video interview I got with B. Fuller. And perhaps I’ll try to figure out what fun tidbits I can share.
Oh, yeah! Will Olive sing again?! Unfortunately, civiltung, sending pies didn’t work to save the show. I don’t think it’ll get the last three epis aired. *U_U*

Just one thing though….I was just reading Ausiello, and here’s what he said:
“Ausiello: Yes, there are three new developments — and, believe it or not, all of them are positive! 1) I’m told Warner Bros. will definitely be releasing a season 2 DVD. 2) After undergoing a major post production tweaking, the series finale is now a loose-end-tying-up extravaganza. 3) And the inimitable Ellen Greene is in talks with Heroes to return as Sylar’s mom during May sweeps.”
Is the thing about the series finale really true? If so I’m ecstatic!!

There were other shows that were cancelled, but then due to popular demand, they brought the show back. Is it possible that this, too, will happen with Pushing Daisies??? I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!!!! I would hate to see it cancelled. =(

ABC completly removed the show!!! I was trying to go to the home page and it doens’t exist anymore!!! the’ve killed PD!!! crysis!!!
I noticed that the PD home page was gone too…stupid abc couldn’t even wait til the final episodes were aired etiher…ugh! I’ve decided that im going to post my PD thoughts on another abc show’s homepage though. Anybody else care to join me?

Just posted a comment on the LOST homepage…hehehe. I encourage everyone to pick a homepage to post on since the PD homepage has been removed. Just because they took away our PD homepage doesn’t mean we can’t continue to post on thier other homepages.

Is spamming other boards really the way to get their _respectful_ attention? The PD fans got angry when another show (I can’t remember which, but it might have been a daytime soap) spammed the PD boards with messages about their show.
With respect, Kerry, they haven’t been very respectful of the creators/crew/cast of the show or the fans. They’ve had all of this time to give us the truth straight away and they’ve been dragging us along for months, now. First it was the threats of cancellation, then it was the cancellation. Then it was the, “Will they? Won’t they?” air the last few episodes? Now it’s the, “IF they air the last three episodes, WHEN will they? And, if so, will they be on the network or online?”
They haven’t shown us much respect at all, really.

I realize that, but in light of ABC’s behavior, I’m just not sure what you’re hoping to accomplish by spamming the boards. Is it just doing something to do something? Pissing off the fans of the other shows? That’s not winning support from those people. ABC looks bad right now, this is the fans’ chance to appear better than them.
Just my opinion, though.
hmm this spamming ABC message boards sounds like a pretty good idea about now. Dumb ABC removing the PD page, how could they? If someone says anything about “cleaning out their webpage, or getting rid of uneccessary stuff” I will cyber-smack you. *smirk*

I agree with Kerry. If we start spamming other boards, all we’re going to accomplish is pissing off other fans as well as ABC.
I mean, if we want to prove we’re better then ABC, shouldn’t we prove we’re NOT complete jackasses?
As mad as I am at ABC, there is one thing that they could do that would make me have at least half as more respect for them than I have now (which is very, very low!). This is besides showing the episodes this Wednesday or releasing the dvd because logically that is not going to happen at the moment!
In June, if that’s when they really will air them, I would LOVE it A LOT! if they will majorly advertise (because they do owe us fans something) and everytime I USED to see Pushing Daisies ads my heart would thrill with excitement.
So if in June (if June) ABC will majorly advertise like:
“Premiering in 3 weeks, the highly anticipated last 3 episodes of the whimsical Pushing Daisies will air….”
or show scenes from the last episodes saying “Wednesday June…The first of the last 3 highly anticipated episodes of Pushing Daisies will be brought back to life…” or “Brought back to life this Wednesday Pushing Daisies will play it’s last episodes…”
Anyways, if ABC does this and has lots of commercials, like when Daisies first started I will mostly forgive ABC for ripping out my heart, then chucking it on the ground, and if that wasn’t enough Spitting on it before they threw it off a building!

My only question is…Closure-wise, how much are we talking here? If these are the last episodes ever and it is never continued, will we be satisfied with these three as a conclusion?
I got the spaming idea like… an interesting way to tell other people that watches ABC’s programing thet PD is the best show ever… if they realize the “few” we are are really comitted to this show… maybe they get curious and start asking themselves…
PD is a masterpiece of the TV and lately I don’t watch any shows ‘cuz I’m totally and absolutely sure that nothig will amuse me, swalow me into a magic world or make me smile like PD did and does, to me it will NEVER die, as long as I get to watch my PD DVD!!!

I’m a very mad Colombian who lives in Colombia and watches the show from Colombia but still, if I could go to ABC’s offices and yell to ABC’s president I would with NO doubt!!! cuz I love bryan fuller and this magical whimsical mistical show! god dammit!

Okay, Kerry, I do see your point. But Veronihika has summed the spamming idea up in a nutshell. Especially if spam were to go onto the, say, Life On Mars site. I’m not saying that I’m going to spam anymore, because you have to become a member of the ABC website to do so, and it’s just too much time and energy and anguish for them just to turn around and say, “Hey! We have another member! Our Network is great!” But if fans of other series in danger could see what has happened to our beloved show, as well as others past, wouldn’t it make sense for them to throw in their support, too? No, it won’t bring the show back, but it will show the network that, in the future, they need to be a bit less careless with the shows they decide to air then coldly cancel.
But, anyway, where are those teasers?!?! *~_^*

As Veronihika and Jamie have noticed, the PD webpage on ABC is gone… Does someone has copied it’s content somewhere? Because it didn’t have time to watch everything that was there before it was deleted (I was introduced to the show only 3 weeks ago, so…) Especially the part with the webocmic and the part with the newspaper?
Secondy, just my 2 cents, yes it is very sad that PD is gone :’(
but spamming ABC’s website is not a solution: I know 2 shows I liked immensely that were recently revived or are oficially going to be: Futurama, which the 4th of 4 direct to DVD movies is going to be released this month, and Reboot; it was announced last summer that a movie trilogy is going to be made, and online webcomics are already being done.
Futurama was revived 5 years after it’s cancellation, and Reboot, 8. In both cases, it was strong ratings at reruns, good DVD sales figures and an active online community that brought theses show back to life. They did mass mailings at different networks, the show creator didn’t want eighter to let it go, and it eventually worked! The were picked up by another channel which was willing to take the risk. Only, both theses shows were animated, therefore, a lot less complicated to get back on rails. I guess it takes a lot more funding to restart a show with live actors…
That being said, there is goint to be a PD comic and it is a lot better than nothing at all, if it is done correctly. And for making a movie, don’t give up, I still see hope, especially if Fuller and all the actors whant to come back, which I belive is the case.
I want spoilers!!! or at least peakaboos!!! please thepiemaker!!! we’re or at least i am checking EVERY day to see any updates!!! I miss PD to the heaven and hell :’(

So here are some (good!) news from Germany.
I just checked online the tv programme for the next 3 weeks and it seems that “Windows dressed to kill” will be shown on German tv on 4th March!
Also on amazon you can see the announcement for the 2nd season DVDs for the 25th May in the UK!
I´ll keep you informed about the tv broadcast - if you wish!
I’m the worst! So sorry that I’ve let this slide for so long. Just caught up in other things. I promise I’ll have the first of a few posts on the final three episodes SOON.
And for those of you who have ask, PUSHING DAISIES has officially ended. Please don’t spam ABC.com, there is nothing to be gained from it. If you want to show your respectful support for PUSHING DAISIES, please send a letter to ABC letting them know that quality shows like PUSHING DAISIES shouldn’t be ignored in the future.
Maybe we can get the pie-serving businesses to join in on our fight for the 3rd season. I know I’m not the only one who’s been going on pie rampages to the nearest pie-selling markets since i’ve been watching Pushing Daisies (mostly Whole Foods - as they use organic ingredients and we do not have a mom-and-pop pie business anywhere near here). Just a thought.
But I tremble with envy to hear you got to meet these wonderful people. >______

Hello, it’s been about a month and a week since you posted this. could you give us some updates soon?? please??
Yesterday “Window dressed to kill” aired on German tv.
It was soooooooo awesome!! But I was nearly crying cause next week the show will end. I don´t want this show to end!! Is there any chance for a movie?? Please ask Bryan at the Panel and give him a big hug from me. Anyone who has the chance to grab his hands on him. *lol* He´s my hero.
I´ve recorded the episode and if anyone´s interested I´ll put it online for download. But it´s unfortunately in German.
