PUSHING DAISIES Recast: PAUL REUBENS Out, Broadway In
ThePieMaker.com has just received confirmation that the role of Alfredo Aldarisio, a traveling homeopathic antidepressant representative/salesman, originally played by PAUL REUBENS has been recast!
Rumors have been flying around for a week or so that Pee Wee was out and that Broadway star Raul Esparza was in. As we had the first exclusive look at Paul Reubens in character as Alfredo Aldarisio, we assumed it was a mistake on the ABC press release.
I’ve just received a confirmation that indeed Raul Esparza has been recast as Alfredo Aldarisio BUT the new rumor with legs is that Paul Reubens will still guest star on Pushing Daisies. According to Ausiello, Reubens will be playing a new (and equally quirky) character named Oscar Vibenius, a former smeller/olfactory expert who works for the DWP and smells something a little different about Chuck.
Really folks, it’s a win-win… win for everyone!

Glad to hear that Paul Reubens will have a role on the show.
Soo excited to see Raul! I love him!
OH GOSH, YAY!!! I love Raul Esparza a ridiculous amount and this makes me incredibly happy to hear. Hopefully they get even more Broadway people to guest-star on the show in the future.
