PUSHING DAISIES Soundtrack Release Date

Many of you have been asking whether or not a PUSHING DAISIES soundtrack will be released.  And now we can tell you YES!  The soundtrack is being released by Varese Sarabande on October2 1st and will feature Jim Dooley’s charming and whimsical score that ‘captures all the quirkiness of the delightful show.’

No word on what else will be on the soundtrack.  (If you are reading that and have any more info, feel free to share it with us).

*Update: The official soundtrack listing on the label’s website has been published, check it out.

And don’t forget that PUSHING DAISIES Season 1 on DVD will be available on September 16th (that’s just 5 days from now…yipee!)

Thanks to Kerry & Jason for the tip!

I’m wondering if the soundtrack was pushed back so it could include more music/songs…

The new date places its release 6 days after Ep. 2.08, “Comfort Food” (Dec. 3rd), in which darling Olive will get to sing another song (according to the recently posted Vanity Fair interview with Exec. Producer Dan Jinks).

This way they can include the newest song and the timing would be great for holiday shopping. Also, a musical episode is the perfect time for advertising a musical release. Just tack an ad for the OST on immediately after the show, with specific mention of included tunes.

By the way, the blossoming of a paricular variety of apple, the Ralls Janet, may have particular relevance to English 240; a Ralls Janet also refers to a major charactor in Slave Moth, a narrative in verse by Thylias Moss.
