PUSHING DAISIES Still in Production

Published by Chuck (Kath) at 10:50 am under Pushing Daisies News

It looks like Bryan Fuller and team submitted the ninth script just before the WGA strike deadline and Pushing Daisies is still in production and filming new episodes.

ABC’s new series “Pushing Daisies” is still in production, shooting its eighth episode, according to executive producer Dan Jinks. A person close to the show said that at least some Teamsters reported for work on the show.

“We were all here at 7 a.m. this morning and everything is going very well,” he said, standing outside a soundstage where star Kristin Chenoweth was shooting a scene. Shooting for that episode could keep the show in production until next week. Mr. Jinks said that he had received a final draft of the show’s ninth episode from creator Bryan Fuller and the show’s other writers before midnight Sunday, and he expects to begin shooting it this week. That would keep the show in production until Thanksgiving, he said. (Source: WSJ.com)

Talk about a rock and a hard place.

According to the LA Times Strike info page here: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/business/la-et-strikeshows8nov08,1,7803895.story?coll=la-util-entnews-tv, PD will finish filming in the next few days. Which really stinks. I wonder what the actors will do without the show to film? Take an early winter vacation, I suppose? And hope for the best in the new year??

You might’ve already answered this, but what are the chances of it getting cancelled? I hope this is resolved soon.
