Pushing Daisies Tour Diaries: Downtown Disney
Happy Labor Day Daisies Fans,
We’ve received a ton of emails wanting to know more about The Pushing Daisies Tour so we thought we’d post some fan reactions and pictures to the mobile tour as it heads across the country. If you’d like to participate and share your stories and photos please contact us!
First up is ThePieMaker.com reader Jessica’s account of her day which includes shirts, spatulas, balloons and Young Olive Snook! Take it away Jessica!
It was absolutely awesome and crazy! I live in San Diego and since it started so early, my mom and I decided to leave even earlier to beat the traffic (4 am to be exact) and hit none until we reached Disneyland. Didn’t realize that the 2008 Disneyland Half Marathon weekend event was happening at the same time, so we were fighting to get into the parking structure with thousands of participants.
Continue reading Jessica’s account of the day and to see a bunch of pictures!
The booth was held in the Family Reunion area, close the back. We ended up getting there right when it opened, of course there were very few people there that morning. We met the wonderful moderators, including the gang from PushingDaisiesTour.com, the booth was also hosted by the hilarious Geoff Keith. I think they thought we were crazy to be there that early. Can’t blame them

Surprisingly, even at 6 am, we met the absolutely adorable new addition to the cast, Samantha Bailey who plays Young Olive in the 3rd episode. She happily met everyone, handed out autographed photos, and posed for pictures. Here’s a pic taken with her (please excuse my dead tired look, I am not a morning person!) and the signed photo. She was incredibly polite and patient the entire time. Great choice for Olive! It must be those similar giant eyes of her’s! I also made a PD shirt last night just for today. A little difficult to see, but that’s what I’m wearing in that pic.
There were lots of cool goodies, including a magnet/picture frame, balloons, PD logoed pie cutters/spatulas (which turns out to be the same thing, and sometimes called a weapon by Geoff) for answering trivia questions, and of course, pie (apple, berry, or and cherry) and PD napkins! Also managed to snag a few of the stickers that were on the sides of some of the boxes the pies were packaged in. A group of us started a little trend of wearing them on our backs.
Well, hope this gives you a little preview of what’s to come. All in all, a definite must see for any PD fan. I hope you enjoy it if you go! - Jessica

Wow, young Olive looks absolutely adorable! We missed her by the time we got there though, which was around 8. The traffic by then was horrendous. We ended up parking 2 miles from the park and walked 4 miles just for pie. Good times.
How cute young Olive! I can’t wait for PD to start… It’s too bad, ’cause I live in Brazil and I can’t see the tour, or get all the cool stuff :/ But the pie looks delicious!
**kicks herself in the butt for not going**
I was told not to go because if you weren’t in the marathon you couldn’t park! grr. I wish I would’ve just went! My dad wanted to go too! Well, whatevs. You look like you had fun!
i hope the pie was good
