Swoosie Kurtz & Bryan Fuller Reunited on HEROES

Published by The Pie Maker at 8:56 am under Bryan Fuller, Swoosie Kurtz

Swoosie and Bryan together again on HEROES

The latest hero on HEROES?  How about one half of the Darling Mermaid Darlings.  Ok so maybe Swoosie Kurtz won’t have mermaid-esque superpowers but she will be guesting on an upcoming episode of HEROES.

The part reunites Swoosie with PUSHING DAISIES creator Bryan Fuller who has now returned to HEROES as a producer and writer. Fuller wroter the part especially for Swoosie.

Fuller, now Kurtz.  Am I actually going to have to start watching HEROES again?

Damn…I may actually have to force myself to watch an episode of Heroes.

Yeah, no. Heroes sucked, always has, always will. And Bryan Fuller can’t nearly make up for it. Is this supposed to make us feel any better?

Okay, sorry. I’m just bitter because Ausiello keeps posting stupid Heroes/PD-related news over at ew.com, as if it’s supposed to make us devastated PD fans smile or something.

Nice to hear a confirmation that Fuller’s back at Heroes. I would much rather have him on PD, but if that can’t happen, he might as well use his talent to help restore Heroes to its season 1 glory. It’s gotten so convoluted, and it seems to contradict itself all of the time. Though it seems to be improving from the mess it got itself into at the beginning of this season.

I was telling one of my friends that Lily was supposed to be guest starring on Heroes. She asked if she would be in character. I said no, but it made me think about how much better Heroes would be if she WAS on there. Take a scene a few episodes back, where Peter puts a gun to his dad Arthur’s head. But of course he doesn’t do it right away, it’s all dramatic, and the the Haitian, who is blocking Arthur’s powers, starts spazzing because it’s too much for him to hold back. Then Sylar comes in, freezes the bullet in midair, interrogates Arthur, then lets the bullet hit him in the middle of his skull. Think about how much simpler this would be if Lily just came in and shot him without any talk. End of story. None of this dramatic suspense business, which I know is a part of Heroes, but still. It was a cool scene, but seriously, things would be way simpler on that show if Lily was around. However, the show will still be improved from Swoozie Kurtz’s mere presence.

I’ve only seen one or two scenes from Heroes, ever - but I know what Mia C. is referring to… love the idea of Aunt Lily taking care of business. Would have been much better than what it actually was. Nice call.

Sorry. It’s gonna take more than Swoosie to make me watch heroes again.

Can’t Bryan just ditch ‘Zeroes’ and create a new and wonderful series that I can love and cherish for the 4 or 5 episodes that it stays on the air? Harumph.

I have never seen an episode of Heroes, but all this talk of Bryan Fuller is making me want to do a crash course and learn everything I can before watching it.
