Take 5 Minutes to Help PUSHING DAISIES
This is serious business, folks. The ratings for PUSHING DAISIES have not been where they need to be for the network to sustain the show. It’s really up to us, the fans, to save the show. Petitions and fan gestures are great and I’m certainly not knocking them, but the network is going to respond to more eyeballs in front of the TV which translates into new ad revenue.
If you love PUSHING DAISIES then please take 5 minutes out of your day to visit a message board, forum, community, Facebook, etc - any site that allows you to promote tonight’s episode of PUSHING DAISIES. Reach out to your favorite TV bloggers and ask them to promote tonight’s episode. Tell others of your passion for the show and challenge them to just give it a chance. If you need banners or artwork, just ask and I’ll give them to you.
Please feel free to use the comments to share your ideas for promoting the show with other ThePieMaker.com readers.
We need action people!! Let’s save the show!!

Wow…we can not let this happen! If any of Brian Fuller’s shows deserves to continue its Pushing Daisies! T_T
If I could have a banner that would be awesome. And I’ll continue to spread the word. I just hope that’s enough.

What, they can’t take PD of the air it’s the best show in some time. It’s new it’s refreshing.. well I guesse I don’t have to tell you guys that. I’m gonna tell other people
. Pushing daisies should definitely stay on air (for at least 5 good seasons
)
We definitely need to promote. We should also start sending letters to Warner Bros. and ABC. Eventually, we’ll need to bombard Warner Bros. and ABC with cup pies or something.
I’ll keep spreading the word!
As Kath said, campaigns where folks bombard the network with letters or pie tins or daisies have their place but the real way to get them to pay attention is to get viewers in front of their television tonight and next Wednesday.
No one is saying that ABC is dropping the show, it’s just that there is a fear the show could be in trouble. ABC has unfortunately not been promoting the show as much as it needs to which means we have to do double, even triple to get the word out there.
Not a single promo was aired for tonight’s episode “Frescorts” and that’s ridiculous. If you go over to ABC.com there are promos for both Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money airing tonight but nothing for Daisies. It’s sad but true. It appears that they’ve given up.
I feel sick over the fact that they didn’t promote this week’s episode and even worse knowing that David Arquette is guest starring… that’s something a network usually wants to highlight, a profile name like Arquette, so once again I’m left scratching my head and shaking a fist.
At the end of summer, EW did an article about the plethora of new shows still sitting with each network that don’t have air dates and how networks are waiting their other for new shows and strike impaired shows to basically die out to make way for the midseason programming.
I fear Pushing Daisies is one of the shows ABC is willing to let just die to make way for Cupid or Castle or one of the other shows they have sitting on the docket.
Bryan Fuller and crew will soon be filming the 13th episode of the season and without a pickup of the back 9, that’s all that is guaranteed to be produced this season unless a miracle happens.
You’d like to think that ABC wouldn’t let such a highly acclaimed show like Daisies go without a fight so maybe they’ve got a trick up their sleeves yet…
I don’t understand how ABC expected to get new viewers when their online player was not working for the first weeks. People who cant catch it on Wednesday didn’t even have the chance to catch up. I am a faithful viewer, so I waited till I could watch it online. But I was frustrated I could not watch it in the first weeks and I am sure others were as well. I just wish that awards and critical acclaim meant something. 30 Rock, I feel was the equivalent a few years ago. NBC had faith and look at 30 Rock now. ABC does not realize a good thing when it has it.
Yeah, there will have to be a MASSIVE uptick in viewership for there to be any chance, and it will have to be without ABC’s help.
It’s one thing not to air any promos for a show. It’s quite another to air promos for the other shows on the same night (each mentioning the other at the end, but neither mentioning Daisies).
It’s still another thing when the episode in question has a big-name guest star.
It’s another thing to do this after there was actually a GAIN in viewership last week.
I have no idea what they’re doing. I DO know that ABC is still not airing Obama-fest next Wednesday, ostensibly in the hope that the show’s ratings can improve against no scripted competition (assuming–and it’s a big assumption–that the World Series goes six games and Bones isn’t on). Perhaps ABC is planning a huge campaign for that week, but it’s hard to know. The “Dim Sum, Lose Some” episode doesn’t appear to be one with major guest stars or any promotional hooks behind it.
I don’t think the ship has completely sailed, but I’m absolutely convinced that unless something major happens to change it, ABC’s mind is already made up. We also have to consider that they are airing Scrubs midseason–they need to clear off some schedule space, no doubt.
I hate to offend any DSM fans, but I believe that the only way for Daisies to survive is for DSM to die. I’m sorry to say that. ABC is still promoting DSM, albeit minimally, but if PD’s ratings go up and DSM’s go down…that might change.
It doesn’t appear that ABC is thinking seriously about another timeslot.
The only other network that MIGHT pick it up would be CW, and that’s a very, very, very slim chance indeed since the show is not about rich, spoiled teenagers.
The post is right. It’s up to us to get people to watch–but it’s not enough either–is there any way to find out who we know that might have Nielsen boxes???

The future of this series is by no means certain. We’ve got to do all we can to make sure it sticks around!
What about DVD sales? Don’t those have any sway on the duration of a series?
At the end of the “next week on…” after Eli Stone last night, an ABC anouncer said, very hurriedly: “and don’t miss an all-new Pushing Daisies tomorrow at 8, 7 Central.”
That, folks was the EXTENT of ABC’s on-air promotion for the show this week. Recall that there wasn’t even a “next week on” after “Bad Habits.”
So that’s what ABC was willing to give us–a rushed “don’t miss” at the very tail end of the LAST ABC show to air before PD. Well, a lot of people tuned in to see Katie Holmes, so maybe a lot of people heard it. Yeah, it’s pretty ridiculous.
Obviously a promo for this episode was never produced, despite the presence of Arquette. And forget about a sneak peek–remember how we used to always get those?
We can only hope and pray that ABC will do more this next week. If the reason they are not airing Obama-fest has something to do (allegedly) with Pushing Daisies—let’s see if they put their money where their mouth is.
If there is no “next week on” tonight, I can’t think of a worse sign.
How can I get these banners or art you are talking about??? Are these like posters I could hang around town and put on peoples cars?????? I would really like some!!!! I have an idea. If you want to promote pushing daisies you could go to the Tonight Show’s Ross the intern Mathews!! (nbc.com/rossblog) I’ve heard him state before that he loves pushing daisies. He’s with NBC but he talks a lot about his favorite shows!!!
Jacob
im scared now !! i dont think i could face it if PD was cancelled ! i live in the uk so i dont even know when il get to see season 2 :S i hope itv are going to show it ! im pretty sure im going to get my youtube account took off me after spending the last hour commenting all sorts of videos about why people should watch PD including the DSM promos lol ah well if it gets a couple more people watching itl be worth it
Okay, I’m not going to let ABC cancel this show. It’s just not happening.
I don’t know if I heard it here, or somewhere else, but apparently since ABC is not exactly Obama-supportive, they definitely won’t be airing his segment or whatever it is. That would be very, very good, as people have already said. I mean, I’m all for Obama, but PD always wins in my eyes.
Wait, what just happened? I wrote an uber-long comment and now practically all of it’s gone?..
abc definitely doesn’t know a good show when they have one. pushing daisies is the highlight of my week, practically. why do they keep over-promoting the same old “oh look at me i’m a doctor/surgeon/millionaire/cop” shows? pushing daisies is really original and makes you feel good.
i’m going as chuck to my school’s halloween dance. if people ask me who i am i can do the whole “i’m chuck from pushing daisies,” etc. etc. hopefully that’ll get a couple more people watching
i kinda dont get how it works. Dont you need a neilson box for your viewing to count? How about online viewing, I work every Wednesday night, but as as avid fan i watch the minute it is on the online viewer.
E-MAIL ABC:
Go to http://abc.go.com/site/contactus.html?lid=ABCCOMGlobalFooter&lpos=CONTACT
On the drop down menu, select “Pushing Daisies” as the show, and “Comment” as your subject, and write a short note telling ABC that you love the show and politely ask them to renew it for a full season.
SEND SNAIL MAIL TO ABC (EVEN MORE IMPORTANT):
ABC, Inc.
500 S. Buena Vista Street
Burbank, CA 91521-4551
This is even more important than e-mail, because in saving-TV-show campaigns, it is best for fans to inundate the studio with support for the show, and physical evidence such as actual mail is always more impressive than a cluttered e-mail inbox.
SEND FLOWERS TO ABC (WITH NOTES):
For those of you with a little more money to spend, Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly suggests fans send in daisies such as this…

…along with notes.

Does anyone know if ABC keeps track of how many times shows have been downloaded and watched on the online viewer? Do they take that into account when they figure the ratings?
I love this show. It is so different from all the other things that have been introduced to primetime television. Its creative and innovative, not to mention lovabley quirky. Please do not let this show go! It is a breath of fresh air!!
Pushing Daisies is so much better than 90% of the crap on TV! Unique, well-written, quirky, intelligent and absolutely gorgeous to look at - what is not to love?
KEEP PUSHING DAISIES ON THE AIR! Don’t make us watch vapid reality TV, or another formulaic crime show.
from the abc message boards, please spread the news…
The big Daisies push is scheduled to take place the week of Nov. 14–21st.
“SEND DAISIES NOV 14-NOV 21
Everyone please send ABC a letter with the choice of Pie/Daisies/Daisy Seeds starting Nov 14th through Nov 21. Streaming letters with flowers and pies will really get the network’s attention of how much we love the show.”

Save Pushing Daisies!!!!
Pushing Daisies. The best thing on TV since “Firefly”. Well written. smart, funny, with a great cast, and visual style. It’s too well done for the average viewer who wants a formulaic sitcom so they don’t have to use any gray matter to sort out the wonderful idiosyncrasies of this high-style show….
Can anyone reply. I HAVE A QUESTION. If i dont have that nielsen meter thingy installed on my tv set (at home), i wont contribute to the nielsen ratings? if thats true, nielsen ratings is not accurate at all. Its sad that networks base their decisions about canceling or picking up a show with ratings $$$ instead of the quality of a show. please, anyone reply. ———————————————————————————–

Да уж Пока это у нас не сильно развито, так что придётся подождать.
Данной информации, не сомневаюсь, и так вполне достаточно, чтобы сделать вывод, как не надо делать.
