The Brits Are No “Dummy”

Here’s a question… could you live without Pushing Daisies‘ second episode “Dummy“? It’s a question that those in the UK won’t have to answer for themselves because ITV has made that decision for them.

ITV is pulling “Dummy” from their lineup and skipping right to the third episode “The Fun In Funeral” because they only allocated 8 weeks to air Daisies’ 9 week run. That ain’t right…

Here is an article from The Guardian outlining the importance of the second chapter in literature, film and AA.

Can you imagine if ABC just didn’t bother airing the second episode of the season? All bloody hell would have broke loose.

What?! That’s a great episode… they’ll never get to see the Hummer chasing the Dandy Lion. Or the dandylion high five! Or Emerson’s hilarious scream. That’s just wrong ITV, wrong.

    Or Olive singing “Hopelessly Devoted”!

My favorite part of this whole charade is the picture of Anna Friel and Lee Chase in The Guardian link.

Oh HALE no! THEY’LL MISS THE BODYBAG KISS!!! That’s just not right! (And Chuck’s little “these things called hands…” moment, which makes me giggle.)

That’s tragic. In all honesty, DUMMY is not my favorite (by far), but, in my opinion, you seriously need it in order to really fall in love with Ned and Chuck. The bodybag kiss is necessary, damnit!

Oh well. They get the DVDs in June. They can catch up.;)

My personal opinion on this one 1…… ITV have goofed up big-time……especially to fit in the 8 episodes before Euro 2008 which we dont have a team at !!!

Sky wouldnt miss out any of the Lost episodes, so lawwwd knows what ITV were thinking….. it scares me to think what they would have done if there had been the whole 22 episode first series run….
